KTM 690 updated balance shaft bearing

A note to everyone who is going for an engine rebuild on a KTM 690. The balance shaft bearings have been upgraded but you won't automatically get the better ones.

All 690 engines from 2008-2021 have the same balance shaft arrangement and uses the same bearing. It is a generic 22x50x14mm bearing with a C4 clearance for up to 19000RPM in theory. It has the part nr 0625062221 BALL BEARING 62/22 C4

 From 2019 and on a new bearing is mounted: 0625062223 Grooved ball bearing TMB2/22CC

The TMB designation is NTN lingo for special alloy in the races and balls to increase service life under harsh conditions. KTM uses the more expensive TMB bearings in some high stress areas such as crank bearings on the infamous 560SMR crank. The new one is simply a better bearing. 

And the strange thing is that the new parts have a lower list price compared to the old one. And if you order the older partnr that the fische shows as correct for the older bikes you will still get the lower spec bearing.
